Killara Kitchen

The client engaged Dan Kitchens to design a kitchen and laundry space which would be fitting and pay homage to their colonial style home. Situated in Sydney’s upper North Shore, this expansive family home reflects the golden age of Australian architecture. From the sandstone and brick façade through to the intricate period style details internally, this home is a testament to quality and craftsmanship. The project required the extensive removal of walls and windows together with combining rooms to achieve the final result of a vast, light filled room in which the kitchen is situated today.
The shaker style kitchen complemented the new space and period style of the house, adding an injection of freshness whilst remaining true to the detail seen throughout the residence. Coupled with rectified subway tiles to the ceiling and honed Carrara Marble benchtops the colours and tones all work harmoniously. One of the kitchens signature features is the expansive island with a book matched marble benchtop, a true statement of fine craftsmanship and a level of detail synonymous with a Dan Kitchen.
